2009 San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival

Although
Indigenous was not selected
to perform for the 2009 San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, Bahira, as artistic director of
Indigenous, was honored to audition with her
troupe for the second time for World Arts West with over
75
other dance companies and soloists.
This prestigious Festival,
now in its 31st year, will feature over 30 exciting ethnic dance soloists
and troupes and be held over four weekends in June of 2009 at The Palace of
Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco on Bay and Lyon Street, San Francisco.
The Auditions were held at
The Palace Theatre and were
performed in front an esteemed panel of dance directors and teachers as well
as a paying audience. Thank you to all those who came to
support Bahira and Indigenous!
Bahira and
Indigenous
performed a set of 5 dances in the American Belly Dance styles including
Tribal, Folk and Traditional.
